Screensharing

Some servers may ask you to share your screen and run tools to scan your PC if they suspect that you are cheating, which is commonly referred to as screensharing. Slinky does not offer any guarantees in regard to bypassing such tools.

The practice of screensharing is becoming less common over time, with the major servers no longer doing it due to privacy concerns or false bans, so in our opinion it is no longer relevant.

By not having to hide our client from such tools, we are able to:

  • Cache data on disk, allowing for much faster load times (especially with slow internet)
  • Store profiles locally, making it easier for users to share them
  • Offer features that would otherwise be difficult to implement
  • Spend more time working on new modules
